PM Directs Timely Completion of National Development Projects
Islamabad, July 21:Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed that all projects of national importance be completed within the stipulated timelines while ensuring the highest standards of quality and transparency.
The directives came during a meeting with Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal in Islamabad. The Prime Minister emphasized that the timely execution of development projects remains a key government priority to improve public welfare, generate employment opportunities, strengthen infrastructure, and sustain economic growth.
He underscored the need for enhanced coordination among all ministries and implementing agencies to remove bottlenecks and accelerate project execution, enabling citizens to benefit from development initiatives without delay.
During the meeting, Ahsan Iqbal briefed the Prime Minister on the progress of ongoing projects, implementation challenges, and the roadmap for their completion. The two sides also reviewed projects being executed under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) and discussed measures to ensure their efficient and timely delivery.
