Pakistan, Qatar reaffirm commitment to enhanced security cooperation

Islamabad, July 28:Pakistan and Qatar have agreed to deepen cooperation in the field of internal security, reaffirming their shared commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and addressing regional security challenges through closer collaboration.

The understanding was reached during a meeting in Doha between Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Qatar’s Interior Minister Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. The two leaders held detailed discussions on expanding cooperation in internal security and explored new avenues to reinforce the existing security partnership between the two countries.

The ministers also exchanged views on the prevailing regional situation, highlighting the importance of coordinated efforts to promote peace, stability and security across the region.

Mohsin Naqvi reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with Qatar in security and other areas of mutual interest, emphasizing the value of stronger bilateral engagement.

The Qatari Interior Minister reaffirmed his country’s high regard for its relationship with Pakistan, stating that Qatar remains committed to working closely with Islamabad to further expand cooperation and strengthen the longstanding partnership between the two friendly nations.
