Iranian Interior Minister Calls on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir

Islamabad, July 21:Interior Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Eskandar Momeni, called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, at the General Headquarters (GHQ). During the meeting, the two sides discussed matters of mutual interest, with a particular focus on regional and bilateral security, effective border management, and strengthening cooperation to address shared security challenges, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The Iranian Interior Minister lauded Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic role in promoting regional peace and stability. He appreciated Pakistan’s consistent efforts to reduce tensions, encourage dialogue, and contribute to peaceful conflict resolution across the region.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation through sustained coordination, intelligence sharing, and effective institutional mechanisms aimed at ensuring secure borders, regional stability, and the mutual prosperity of the two neighboring countries.
