President Zardari, Interior Minister Naqvi review security situation, reaffirm resolve against terrorism
Islamabad, July 30:President Asif Ali Zardari and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday held a high-level meeting to review Pakistan’s overall security landscape, with particular emphasis on the law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. During the meeting at Bilawal House, the interior minister briefed the president on the latest security developments and the government’s ongoing counterterrorism measures aimed at strengthening peace and stability in the two provinces. President Zardari commended the Pakistan Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies, and police for their professionalism, courage, and sacrifices in the fight against terrorism. Reaffirming the nation’s unwavering support for the country’s security institutions, he stressed that collective national unity remains essential to eliminating terrorism and safeguarding lasting peace. The meeting also included a comprehensive discussion on the country’s prevailing political situation and other issues of national importance, highlighting the government’s continued focus on strengthening internal security, maintaining political stability, and addressing emerging challenges through coordinated institutional efforts.
