Law Minister Launches Digital E-Appeal System to Modernize Justice Sector
Islamabad, July 6: Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar has launched the E-Appeal Management System, Public Interface, Management Dashboard, and Video-Link Facility for e-hearings at the Federal Service Tribunal, marking a significant step in Pakistan’s judicial reform agenda.
Speaking at the launching ceremony in Islamabad, the minister said the government remains committed to strengthening the justice sector through the adoption of modern technology to improve efficiency, transparency, and public access to justice.
The newly introduced digital platform will streamline the entire appeal process, from registration to case disposal, while enabling litigants, lawyers, and court officials to access case information more conveniently through an integrated web portal and management dashboard.
The initiative also includes video-link facilities at the tribunal’s benches in Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, and Karachi, allowing virtual hearings where appropriate. The system is expected to reduce delays caused by travel, improve the efficient use of court resources, and lower administrative costs. The reform reflects the government’s broader efforts to modernize judicial administration and deliver faster, more accessible justice across the country.
