PIA to Resume Flights to United Kingdom This Month

LONDON – The Pakistan High Commission in London has confirmed that Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will resume its flights to the United Kingdom this month. High Commissioner Dr. Mohammad Faisal thanked the UK Civil Aviation Authority for issuing the Foreign Aircraft Operating Permit (FOP), the final step for commercial flight operations. PIA had already obtained the Third Country Operator (TCO) approval, paving the way for its re-entry into the UK market. Initial flights will begin with services to Manchester, followed by Birmingham and London. The move restores a key travel option for over 1.7 million Pakistanis living in the UK.
