LONDON – The Pakistan High Commission in London has confirmed that Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will resume its flights to the United Kingdom this month. High Commissioner Dr. Mohammad Faisal thanked the UK Civil Aviation Authority for issuing the Foreign Aircraft Operating Permit (FOP), the final step for commercial flight operations. PIA had already obtained the Third Country Operator (TCO) approval, paving the way for its re-entry into the UK market. Initial flights will begin with services to Manchester, followed by Birmingham and London. The move restores a key travel option for over 1.7 million Pakistanis living in the UK.
ANKARA – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan commemorated the 838th anniversary of the recapture of Jerusalem by Salahuddin al-Ayyubi in 1187. In a message shared on Turkish platform NSosyal, Erdogan paid tribute to Salahuddin and his soldiers, calling Jerusalem a sacred trust.
