US Congressmen Commend Pakistan’s Diplomatic Role in Regional Peace

Islamabad, July 26:US Congressmen Michael Baumgartner and Ryan Zinke have praised Pakistan’s growing diplomatic role in promoting regional peace, particularly its efforts to facilitate dialogue between the United States and Iran.

Speaking to Pakistan Television during their visit to Islamabad, Congressman Michael Baumgartner appreciated Pakistan’s constructive engagement in US-Iran diplomacy and its efforts to support peace initiatives concerning Gaza. He expressed optimism that Pakistan-US relations would continue to strengthen, driven by expanding cooperation beyond traditional security issues.

Baumgartner noted that growing people-to-people contacts and increasing business engagement were opening a new chapter in bilateral relations. Congressman Ryan Zinke said strong communication among US President Donald Trump, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reflected the positive trajectory of bilateral ties. He expressed confidence that Pakistan and the United States were enjoying one of the strongest phases in their relationship, with growing opportunities for cooperation across multiple sectors
