Mustafa Kamal Assures Chinese Investors of Full Government Support
Islamabad, July 20:Federal Minister for National Health Services Mustafa Kamal has assured Chinese investors of the government’s full support and facilitation for investment in Pakistan’s pharmaceutical, healthcare, and biotechnology sectors, reaffirming Islamabad’s commitment to strengthening economic cooperation with China.
Addressing the Pakistan-China Business-to-Business Investment Conference on Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare and Biotechnology in Islamabad, the minister said the government would ensure a business-friendly environment and remove any obstacles that could hinder Chinese investment. He emphasized that Pakistan’s growing pharmaceutical and healthcare market offers significant opportunities for international investors.
Highlighting reforms in the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP), Mustafa Kamal said the institution has undergone major transformation over the past year. Through digitization, the registration process for medical devices has been reduced from nearly two and a half years to just 20 days, significantly improving efficiency. He added that DRAP successfully processed 4,700 registration cases during the past eight months, reflecting the government’s commitment to regulatory reforms and facilitating investment in the healthcare sector.
