Canada, Pakistan Discuss Strengthening Trade and Human Rights Cooperation

H.E. Tarik Ali Khan, Canada’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, met with Mr. Azam Nazeer Tarar, Federal Minister for Law, Justice, and Human Rights, to discuss ways to further enhance Canada–Pakistan trade and investment relations.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on deepening bilateral cooperation, particularly in promoting inclusive economic growth and advancing human rights protection. The Canadian High Commissioner welcomed Pakistan’s ongoing reforms aimed at strengthening the human rights framework and ensuring greater legal protections for all citizens.

Canada reaffirmed its continued commitment to supporting human rights initiatives in Pakistan through sustained advocacy and development programming.
