Bosnian NGO ‘Pomozi.ba’ Extends Humanitarian Aid to Flood-Hit Communities in Northern Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, October 10, 2025 — In a heartfelt show of international solidarity, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s humanitarian association Pomozi.ba has delivered emergency relief to families devastated by recent floods in northern Pakistan, particularly in Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the association, Pomozi.ba provided emergency food and non-food assistance to 150 flood-affected families, including the distribution of tents for temporary shelter. The aid aims to support mountain communities severely impacted by flash floods triggered by heavy rains in recent weeks.

Mr. Mithat Brkan, the association’s representative, visited the flood-affected areas between September 28 and 30, 2025, accompanied by representatives of partner organization Alkhidmat Europe. During his visit, Mr. Brkan met with local elders, displaced families, and community members, offering condolences to those who lost loved ones and assuring continued humanitarian support from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Pomozi.ba stands in solidarity with the people of Pakistan during these challenging times. Our mission is to bring hope and assistance to those who need it most,” Mr. Brkan said during his field visit.

The humanitarian action underscores the strong spirit of international cooperation and compassion, as Pakistani communities continue recovery efforts following widespread flood destruction.
