Azerbaijani Speaker Meets Senate Chairman Gilani, Vows to Deepen Pakistan–Azerbaijan Ties

ISLAMABAD, October 18, 2025:
Honourable Speaker of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova, met with Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, in Islamabad during her official visit to Pakistan.

Both sides discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations, emphasizing enhanced parliamentary cooperation, trade linkages, and cultural exchanges between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.

Speaker Gafarova lauded Pakistan’s consistent support on key regional issues, while Chairman Gilani reaffirmed Islamabad’s commitment to expanding cooperation with Baku in multiple sectors, particularly energy, education, and defence collaboration.
