Ambassador Neziroğlu Hosts Türkiye’s National Defence University Rector in Islamabad

Islamabad, Oct 1 — Ambassador of Türkiye to Pakistan, Irfan Neziroğlu, hosted Prof. Dr. Erhan Afyoncu, Rector of the National Defence University of Türkiye, at the Turkish Embassy in Islamabad.

Prof. Dr. Afyoncu, accompanied by a delegation, is visiting Pakistan to explore avenues of academic and defence cooperation between the two countries. The meeting at the Embassy highlighted Türkiye’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties through educational exchanges, defence studies, and institutional collaboration.

Ambassador Neziroğlu welcomed the Rector and his delegation, noting that such visits provide an important platform to expand the partnership between the defence institutions of Pakistan and Türkiye.

The Rector’s visit underscores the longstanding strategic relationship between Ankara and Islamabad, which continues to deepen across multiple sectors including defence, education, and cultural exchange.
